Ennis Golf Club is a welcoming destination for visitors of all levels, offering a beautifully maintained 18-hole parkland course on the outskirts of Ennis, Co. The club’s modern clubhouse provides comfortable facilities including a bar, restaurant, pro-shop, and practice areas such as a putting green and practice nets, and there is free on-site parking for guests. By Train

Nearest station:

Ennis Railway Station on Station Road, Ennis – about a 10-minute walk or a short taxi to the club

  • From Dublin: Take an Irish Rail service from Dublin Heuston to Limerick/Ennis (some services may require a change at Limerick or Athenry). Then alight at Ennis
  • From Galway: There are direct intercity or regional trains between Galway and Ennis (check Irish Rail timetables)
  • From Cork: You’ll need to travel via Limerick Junction or Limerick and connect to a service to Ennis

On arrival at Ennis Station:

  • Walk south-west along Church Street and R458 toward Golf Links Road (~10 mins)
  • Alternatively take a short taxi to the club entrance

By Bus

Arriving into Ennis:

Ennis Railway Station on Station Road, Ennis – about a 10-minute walk or a short taxi to the club

  • Bus Éireann and TFI Local Link provide frequent services to Ennis Bus Station and town stops from major cities including Dublin, Galway, Limerick and Shannon Airport area 
  • Common routes include Bus Éireann 300, 330/330X, 331, 335 and 350 with stops at Ennis Friars Walk, Ennis Bóthar Na Trócaire and near Ennis station 

From the bus stop to Ennis Golf Club:

  • It’s about a 15–20 minute walk from central Ennis bus stops to Golf Links Road
  • Local taxis are available at the bus stops to take you directly to the club

By Car & Taxi

From major routes:

Ennis Railway Station on Station Road, Ennis – about a 10-minute walk or a short taxi to the club

  • From Limerick: Take the M18 motorway northbound, then exit toward Ennis/N85 and follow local signs to Golf Links Road
  • From Galway: Join the M18 southbound and exit at Ennis/N85
  • From Shannon Airport: It’s around a 20–25 minute drive via the N19/M18 into Ennis and then onto Golf Links Road

Parking: Ennis Golf Club has onsite parking available for visitors.

Standard of Dress

Conventional Golf Dress and Golf Shoes must be worn at all times. Trouser legs must never be tucked into socks.

On The Golf Course

The following items of dress are not permitted at any time on the

  • Singlets, vests, sun tops, leggings or shirts more suited to other sports
  • Untailored shorts
  • Sweaters without shirts
  • Garments displaying slogans
  • Track or Leisure suits – except when used as wet gear
  • Trainer shoes or runners

In The Clubhouse
Smart casual dress is essential in the clubhouse. It must be clean, neat and tidy and in keeping with the high standards of the clubhouse.

Any type of footwear or headgear worn on the course is not acceptable in the clubhouse.
