The Management Committee of Ennis Golf Club is pleased to outline plans for the construction of a new 2nd green, to be located to the north of the existing 2nd green. This important development is currently underway and represents a significant investment in the ongoing improvement of our course.
The construction of the new green will be carried under the watchful eye of our Course Advisor, Eddie Connaughton. The scope of works will include the full construction of the new green, the installation of a modern irrigation system, and the construction of a new tee box to complement the revised layout of the hole.
As part of the redevelopment, some existing trees will be removed, while others will be pruned and reshaped where they currently impinge on the intended line of play between the tee box and the green. These changes are designed to enhance playability while maintaining the natural character of the hole.
Works on the redevelopment of the 2nd hole are being carried out by G&S Construction & Plant Hire Ltd delivering improvements that will significantly enhance both playability and overall course quality. This project forms part of the club’s broader commitment to continual course enhancement for the benefit of members and visitors alike.
We appreciate members’ patience and cooperation while these works are ongoing and look forward to sharing the finished result with you. Further updates will be provided as the project progresses.
